Step 1: Fasten the C-12 to the ball head using the enclosed M6 screw.  If the screw is too long and bottoms-out in the hole prematurely, use the shallow hole instructions here.

Step 2: Tighten the 3 set screws, using the enclosed 2.5mm hex key.  Lightly tighten all three, then go back and firmly tighten each one.
