Ordering Online
Our online ordering process is secure and easy to use. Simply browse our site and click on the "Add to Cart" button next to the product you wish to buy. You can view the contents of your shopping cart at any time by clicking on the "View Cart" link in the upper left-hand corner of the page. Upon viewing the contents of your shopping cart, you can add or delete items, change the quantity, and proceed to checkout if you wish.

During the checkout process, you can choose a shipping method, calculate shipping costs, and enter your billing, shipping, and payment information. You will receive confirmation of your order via email. You will also receive a second email when your order is scheduled for shipment containing UPS package tracking information.

Our business hours are 9 AM to 5 PM EST Monday-Friday. We are closed for lunch from 12 noon until 1 PM daily. Due to our small staff size, we may not be available to take your call immediately, but we will be happy to call you back if you leave us a message.

Please print and fill-out our Order Form and send it to us. (Our fax number and mailing address are included on the form.)

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Personal Checks (from U.S. Banks), & Money Orders.
Online orders, phone orders, and fax orders must be paid by credit card.

When will my order ship?

Orders that we receive before 1:00 PM Eastern Time (ET) typically ship on the same day they are received; orders received after 1:00 PM ET typically ship on the following business day (weekends and national holidays are not considered business days).  We strive hard to meet the above guidelines, however, we do not guarantee that every package will ship accordingly. If the arrival date of your package is extremely crucial, please contact us by phone or email (orders@tripodhead.com) to ensure that your order arrives on time.

Shipping Methods and Transit Times

We offer the following shipping methods (listed with their corresponding transit times).

UPS Ground - (1-6 *Business-Days, Transit Time Not Guaranteed)
This service is very reliable and economical but estimated transit times are not guaranteed (they are generally quite accurate though). Estimated transit times are based on destination distance. We are located in Virginia (Zip Code 22603). Use the UPS Ground Transit Time Map to estimate transit time for this service.

UPS Next-Day Air - (1 *Business-Day, Guaranteed) - typically arrives before 10:30 AM
UPS 2nd-Day Air - (2 *Business-Days, Guaranteed)
UPS 3-Day Select - (3 *Business-Days, Guaranteed) - not available for Alaska or Hawaii

Transit times apply to continental US shipments only. For a more detailed explanations of UPS delivery schedules and delivery practices please refer to their website www.ups.com.

*Business Days (as defined by UPS) do not include the day of shipment, weekends, or national holidays. For example: A package shipped on Wednesday via 2nd Day Air (2 Business Day transit time) will arrive on Friday. If it were shipped on Thursday, it would arrive on the following Monday.

Saturday Delivery: For an additional fee, UPS will deliver packages on Saturday (UPS does not deliver on Sunday). If this is something you require, please call our office prior to shipment and we will add the service and coresponding fee to your order. Note: This service is available for most, but not all locations.

US Postal Service Shipments:
Very small items, such as individual screws and bushings, can be shipped via the US Postal Service Priority Mail or First Class Mail. Please contact us after placing your online order at orders@tripodhead.com to request this shipping option for these small items. Aside from this exception, we do not ship packages via the US Postal Service due to their lack of ability to track packages. If Postal Service Priority Mail is required due to the high cost of UPS remote area delivery or other factors, we charge a $5 "Non-UPS Handling Fee" in addition to postage for these shipments as it requires extra time and effort outside of our normal UPS shipping process to process these individual shipments.

Sales Tax

Since we are located in Virginia, we are required to charge 5% sales tax for all orders shipped to a Virginia address.
